Saw about 50-60 sand hill cranes in a field along the highway , next billboard was for a seed treatment to discourage the cranes from eating your seed.

Been seeing a few robins and buzzards. Not many doves yet.

The cranes can't read... no but what a sales pitch to any one on their way to the seed dealer I suspect the seed treatment makes the crane sick so it stops eating your seed before they have a half mile of a row un-planted

The coots got here a couple days ago. I saw one gold finch and have not seen any more yet. The caragana is leafing out before they get here.
