They don't deliver to houses in our little town of about 20 people counting the kids but we still have to pay for a po box. I think it's $70 a year. Mail comes Monday Wednesday and Friday

One thing that does not help is it is union run. They can not scan any mail before or after hours. It is all logged on a computer. So even if someone wants to fix a problem, they can't. They can't put in 15 extra minutes to help try to fix anything.

Our mail lady deliveries mail to the mailbox at the house when she feels like it. One reason I have a PO box for my business and time sensitive personal mail.

Classic Government employees! A lot of guy's get pout of the military and go to work there 'cause their military time counts toward retirement. Only working for 14 yrs can look pretty good. Then you can stay there or go somewhere else.

Don't know about other areas, but here, all the retirees have been replaced by DEI types. Going to the post office is like visiting a third world country.

I get rural delivery, our post office and delivery are top notch. I feel bad for those that get bad service.
When snow socks us in bad we can get a box for free for the winter if we want.

Last Friday the Post Master did not show up for work. The story I got from a route carrier was they can not do anything without the Post Master. If she would have called in they could have put in a sub and them mail would have been delivered. The carriers sat out in the parking lot "waiting for her to show up" so they got paid.

Wife just gave me an update on the cost of our post office box, as of July 1st our box goes up to $96 a year

When we were in Big Timber there was no home delivery in town so we got a box for free. Out here we have home delivery so if we want a box at the PO there is a charge.

First thing is to have a meeting with your postmaster. If not resolved them call your representative. It sounds like they are having a problem retaining delivery drivers. There is no reason to not get aggressive ie. stand up for yourself or let it continue as is. Sounds like the Postmaster is playing an avoidance role.
Boxes vary in price depending on the town or city population. More people, more demand, higher price.
