Well, after looking at dump trailers last Wednesday and talking to the dealer. I figured out what I wanted and everything. On Friday, my dad stopped in and spoke to him, and the dealer said someone was looking at it, and he kind of lied about it being sold since he knew we were looking at it. So my dad went in there and let him know we were just waiting on the bank, and he pulled it out of his inventory and put it to the side. So on Friday, when my dad got home, we went and talked to the bank, and then him and me finalized all of the documents on it today, and I got to go pick it up around 3:45. The dealer made sure it was all serviced, charged up, and ready to go. Then once I picked it up, we went and got some mowers that were given to us to fix and put the first few scratches in the deck, so that's already checked off the list. So far, I like everything on it and it's super well built, no complaints yet, but I have had it for less than 6 hours. So enough of the storytelling and on to the good details.
The trailer is a Southland 7x14 with 2 7k axles under it. It's a scissor lift trailer with a hydraulic jack. It has a 110 onboard charger and a solar charger. It has slam latch doors, there are only barn doors and no spreader gate but I don't plan on hauling any large amounts of gravel or things that I would need a spreader gate for. It does make the truck squat a bit, but I'm glad that I put those overload leafsprings in there. I can go about 55-60 on the highway, but any more than that and it brings the rpms up a bit much. After hauling those mowers, I would like to make a way to either put a 2" sleeve for a winch in the middle or another d ring for a come along. Other than that, that's about all I know about it so far. I plan to work a few jobs with it tomorrow to help myself get caught back up and use it a little bit.
