Death and taxes are the only thing that is for sure….
I have my party planned out. Music Gospel that will be preached.
Tastey beverages to go with ham samish and church potato salad…
I am just not convinced on the burning thing. It seams simple and I could be make into a diamond,,,,,
Put me on a chain and take outdoors,,,,,,,

Your too gay to be buried Get fried and if some of your kin want, they can put some of your ashes in pretty stuff. Plus, it's cheaper(even though they sock it to ya for the cardboard box) and ya ain't takin up space.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I guess being mummified went out of style.
Could be stood up in the corner, put out in yard like a totem pole so the dogs can wizz on her leg or put lots of places. Could even be stood near the garden for a scare crow or something seasonal like put put for Halloween.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Burned to a crisp and my ashes sprinkled in my favorite fishing hole Maybe even put some ashes in to feed the worms so I can catch a few more fish Yep me too. Several different fishing holes. Composting is an option too. You could grow some fine potatoes. When the covid thing went down there were a good number of homeless people that went down in the cities. I hear tell that the bodies not claimed were composted into a fine fertilizer.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

can't see being a waste of space with a head stone
so cremation is the plan , wife is getting cremated
planned out hers I have a few ideas for mine
it is about 5500 for the basic cremation plan where I live you can do individual options but it gets really close to the package price with all the fees and papers and such so the package is like 5500
the Wife is having a potluck with my brother prepping smoked meat to be served.

GC Pete, i would check around on that 5500 cremation price. Theres a billboard near here that advertises 795.00 for a cook. I pointed at it one day when me and wifey were traveling. I said if i go first, theres your solution. No service no stone just get me gone as cheap as possible throw me out anywhere on the home farm every state has different regulations , with all the transport and certification filings ect I will check with my cousin he and his wife ran a funeral home till they sold out to her brother a few years back it also varries by county every county in WI charges a different fee so in you die on one side of the county line and that county dislikes the other county get ready for a 550 dollar up charge. it has been a few months since we talked with the funeral home but as I recall that included the online Obit , the copies of the death certificate , our counties filing charge or any adjacent county , transport , cremation , as an example the county fee for a cremation certificate is 225 dollars in Green county with another 75 dollars for the signing of the death certificate then every copy of the death certificate is like 10 dollars and you need several one for each credit beaure , one for each lender , one for each insurance , one for SSI but it is a good reminder I need to look at that again , she signed on with hospice this afternoon.

cremated. no vault, no casket, no hearse and no funeral planner. lost my young nephew a year ago, and his "traditional" funeral was close to 20 grand. parents took out a loan to bury their son. very sad. I was not in the best place at the the time but I think my son's burial bill was around 23k and that was back in 07 and he went in the family owned plot so no charge for that. Could have been cheaper but I went with a real coffin over the plastic thing they recommended. So then he required a concrete vault the cheap plastic thing didn't require. Also ordered a large black stone 4' tall with extras like his portrait carven into it a poem my wife wrote on the back I think that was 7 or 8 k at the time. Getting planted can be expensive for sure. wife wants burnt up I'm leaning that direction as well. I would rather the kids do something useful with the cash instead of wasting it on funeral crap and sticking me in a hole no one will go to after a few years.

When dad died, more than 20 years ago, mom picked out his funeral. It cost fifteen thousand. When mom died, 8 months later, we gave her the same funeral she picked out for dad, another fifteen thousand. 30 thousand dollars gone. I have donated my body to science, a medical school. When I die they come and get my body. They haul me off, cut me up, look at my parts, then burn me up. Then they give my ashes to my kids. All for no cost.
