Is it true that those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it? Anyone remember how staying out of WWII worked out for us?
I'm just tryin to figure out if the gals with their panties in a wad are really opposed to taking action against our enemies or just against anything the current president does...

Funny, I don't remember her having much to say when the person who occupied the presidents office before President Trump ousted Qadaffi via a US military strike against a country we were not at war with.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

I reckon some just can't admit Trump did anything right, others are against our involvement because they're antisemites, and others are just cowardly. That's my thoughts anyhow from reading posts on here these past couple weeks.

It's good to get rid of the threat. We are pretty good at war if they let our troops do their job. We have not been very good at geting out. Maybe Trump will be able to pull that off and break the pattern. Fingers crossed he will be going against the military industry complex.

I remember my dad having on the evening news, seeing and hearing the images of the hostages. Even as a kid I wondered why in the heck the U.S. was letting that go on. Maybe some of whom you mention don't have those memories....

Yes, we are Israel's slaves. Soldiers who were in Afghanistan are saying the same. Just another war of convenience that we didn't need to be in, but we have to scratch backs.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I remember my dad telling me that . we knew about the attack on PH before it happened. That's why the carriers were all out to sea. We had to get involved, as our merchant ships were under attack , as well as any ship in the Atlantic!

Just wondering why Iseral is responsible for Afghanistan? If I remember right they were hiding and protecting our worst enemy ,Osama bin Laden. I still wonder why he was supposedly buried at sea! He was never in any navy! Obama cover up? Maybe?

Maybe we could learn from our historic mistakes in something that more closely parralls Iran like Iraq, Syria and Libya...
Iran has threatened our country for years. Iran is backing the attacks on the shipping of many countries.
Since 2014, Yemen has endured a brutal civil war that pits the Houthis — who receive substantial funding and weaponry from Iran — against Yemen’s internationally recognized government and an international coalition led by Saudi Arabia (and supported by the United States). As of last year, the United Nations estimated that the nearly decade-old war has killed more than 377,000 people — most due to malnutrition, unsafe water, and poor medical services, all exacerbated by conflict — though the violence has died down since a UN-brokered ceasefire in 2022. Today, the Houthis control about one-third of Yemen’s territory and 70 percent of its population.
Container ship captains who make the run between Europe and Asia are about to become reacquainted with the Cape of Good Hope, making a long swing around Africa in a route that has been largely obsolete since the opening of the Suez Canal more than 150 years ago.
Since mid-November, Houthi rebels in the Middle Eastern country of Yemen have been attacking shipping in the Red Sea, firing drones and missiles and, in some cases, boarding and seizing vessels. The Houthis, who are backed by Iran, say the attacks are in solidarity with their Palestinian allies in Hamas. In response, most of the world’s largest container shipping companies — including Denmark’s Maersk, Germany’s Hapag-Lloyd, and China’s Cosco — have stopped shipments through the Red Sea. The oil company BP is doing so as well. An estimated 7 million barrels of oil normally travel through the sea per day.
The situation escalated rapidly this week. On January 10, the Houthis launched their largest attack yet, firing more than 20 missiles and drones at US allied warships in the region. The US and several of its allies responded the next day with military strikes against more than a dozen Houthi targets in Yemen.
We have met the enemy and the enemy is us!

Will likely ruin the Trump Presidency. It's a shame because he could have been the most consequential president in recent history. He will likely now lose both houses in the mid-terms. Oil is already up and hard to see how it doesn't go higher. Inflation back and it kills the Trump economy. The Neocons and Deep State are back in control. It's a virtual coup and Trump fell for it.

There is still debate whether our so called Grundgesetz (which translates to basic law) is a constitution (Verfassung). Most lawyers say yes, but they need book-length commentaries to justify this position.
Grundgesetz Art. 146 says: "This Basic Law, which shall apply to the entire German people after the completion of the unity and freedom of Germany, shall cease to be valid on the day on which a constitution adopted by the German people in a free decision comes into force."
Many say "adopted by the German people in a free decision" means in a referendum. It would be easy to end this discussion by holding a referendum. But politicians are preventing this by all means. They seem to be afraid this would open fundamental door for further referendums.
Regardless of this fundamental discussion, the Germans and their politicians are no different from the Americans. They refer to the Basic Law when it benefits them and ignore it when it's convenient. That's why we are losing our freedom more and more, just like you are.

Its true Lefty, there's A couple here who would let it be repeated.
Once upon a time Al-Qaeda was someone else's problem. All they ever did to us was attack an Embassy or two of ours and bomb a military ship of ours, so we didn't worry about them. Then came Sept 11th, 2001.
Iran has done the same to us, maybe more. No sense waiting on another Sept. 11.

Was this in our national interest? I think this is the standard the U.S. is supposed to apply when we are nation building and policing the world.
Question......
If you're standing face to face with someone loading a gun (someone who's already attacked you) while saying, "when I get this loaded I'm going to kill you.....do you start fighting him before he gets it loaded or wait until he gets it loaded to see if he'll really shoot you?
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Maybe they need a big gun to protect themselves from the U.S? We have attacked Iran many times since our puppet was removed. There was a negotiated deal to stop Iran from producing this Gun that somebody pulled out of to try force again. He has 3 and a half more years to see if force works.

Iran does need a big weapon to protect themselves from us. We would have to be morons to let them get that weapon. We shouldn't give a crap about their best interests in this case, just ours. America first.

It's not over until Russia gets squared away with their remark about others may sell or supply Iran nuke heads, as long as there is fuel to give Iran a possibility of having Nukes, nothing is over, even if we did take out their production, getting them from others is just as bad for world games to come to play !!

Let us not forget that Obama and Hillary sold 20% of our uranium supply to Russia! Now remember the rumors that Obama isn't or wasn't born in America. Then remember where he might have been born. A Muslim father , that moved to Hawaii ? No real trace of where he came from. Is a member of the democrat party! And what does that party stand for this day and age? How many times has he said he stands with the Muslim cult/religion? Now where do you think Iran gets their uranium ?
