A bear has done it again.

Mauled a 69 year old woman just a few miles away from my house.

Authorities are looking for it to euthanize it.

They did find a cub, but so far not the sow.

You're late. That's old news now.

It is an ongoing story until it is euthanized.

I just chased a momma and 2 older cubs in my yard a few weeks ago armed with this phone…….then momma chased me back inside..lol.
It’s all over FB. She’s a good mom though, just passing through my yard, passed the brewing beaver tail oil and bird feeders and was on her way out when I yelled. Cubs went straight up the nearest trees while mom hightailed it until she noticed the cubs were between us……then she came charging back but stopped at the trees the cubs went up but it worked, I wasn’t gambling. If it was for real, I was close enough that I’d never have made it back to the house. They eventually came down and haven’t been around since.

I love bears, many close encou tears, and they taste good.

I really like to bear hunt. We have a huntable population within about 60 miles of my place. On my own land, I am afraid I would be one of those who shoot, eat, and shut up. I have enough problems with coons, squirrels, and possums in my fruit trees and garden - I cant even bears living in your place. Kind of like a gator living in the pond where your grandkids and dogs swim and hang out.

Definitely a reason the Bear wanted to wrestle ! Probably involved mother feeling the need to protect Cub.

If you hate Bears, you should have probably not moved to Bear Country.

we are getting them a lot further south than bears have been in the last 100+ years

I don't know the situation of the attack in WI and I am not saying she did anything wrong , but people all seem to think everything has an idiot safety these days and then get surprised there isn't.
