They are giving up lost hikers who perished over the years. There's been a couple dozen bodies discovered in the last few years I was just reading in today's news. I guess global warming is bringing resolution to some families.

It's called Climate Change now BP. The left changed the name a while back, remember?

Al Gore claimed my property was going to be beach front as of ten-years ago due to those melting glaciers. So far I haven't seen any credible evidence of rising ocean levels, especially not to that ridiculous extent. How's that for an "inconvenient truth?"

It seems to me like there was a ice age before the global warming. So I guess the climate changes.

Glaciers i worked on have been receding since at least the 50's . Plants now grow where glacier used to be eating up carbon dioxide and spewing out oxygen.

Glaciers have been melting for about the last 17,000 years. They’re just melting a lot faster now.

That climate change is settled science, and we all know when it's settled science, it's written in stone.
"Safe & Effective" was a great example, both must have been true beyond reproach, right?

they go to dredge harbors in Europe and find docks and boats and stuff about 20 feet under water from a thousand years ago
caves with paintings that were only accessible by entrances 40 feet under water. so ocean levels were rising long before the internal combustion engine making it's way to the party.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

In 2008 Al Gore claimed the worlds oceans would rise 20 feet "in the near future."

He also claimed that, "our shores will be flooded and sea-bordering cities will sink beneath the water leaving millions of people homeless."

After listening to the left push ridiculous bull crap like that for decades is it any wonder thinking people are skeptical of the "science?"

I bought our current house because it was 1100 feet in elevation lower than where we did live.

Didn't Dr. Anthony Fauci, a head of CDC in the U.S.A. lie about his involvement in the COVID scam?
I find it very hard to believe in science because that was his favorite saying , believe in the science !
Also find it very interesting that his name is almost impossible to find in a search of the Covid 19 scam!
Yet he was the head of the CDC in our country.
Or was he?

So I just don't take, ( believe in the science ) very seriously from the left .

Great question.

If the glaciers have been melting over the last 17,000 years how would any hiker become covered by one?

Maybe they all fell down those deep fissures said to be in glaciers?

Or maybe it's just more liberal nonsense.

Water seeks level, land can settle and sink. Maybe that's what happened?
I have heard that the Mayflower rock is still at the same water level as in 1492?

Um. Do you know how fast the glaciers melted the last time?

10000 years ago there was a couple miles of ice over my house.

That isn't that long ago and that ice melted pretty fast.

Interesting point about the glaciers and last glacial maximum. Sea level was hundred plus feet lower than it is now.
You have always heard about the first point, the glaciers. But not much mention of the second corresponding point.

How bout that crap Al Gore, hundred foot of sea level fluctuation.

Humans survived anyway.

Earlier this year some Red State AGs talked about investigating him for state crimes. A Biden pardon is for federal crimes.

I watched glacier melt in my tea last night at dinner. Still old school and had to manually refill the glacial tray and put it back in the freezer.

I am so tired of people calling global warming cooling change a man made problem.

I always ask what caused the end of the previous ice age to this one?

Global warming!!

What ended the warming of the planet previous to this ice age?

Global cooling!!

I have yet to see any "Scientists" names and findings and funding.

How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

Up until very recently “rigorous skepticism” was an extremely important part of science

That seems to have been lost,,,,,on the sheep

It still is. Unless you have been politically brainwashed by your favorite party you would have to have sturdy blinders on not to see that the greenhouse gases are heating up the planet faster than can be explained by anything other than our burning of fossil fuels. Every legit scientific organization on the globe sees it that way. I've read up on it pretty good and it all makes sense.

My guess is that nobody that on here that thinks it is a hoax even bothers to look at the evidence. Your mind is made up.

Of course, if you don't understand what a 2-3 degree warming of the ocean will mean over the next hundred years or so all of this will be lost on you...so go on and make fun of the "hoax". As Savell likes to say, "carry on". LOL

If you read up on it a bit more you’ld learn that there are glaciers on the planet that are actually expanding

Ice packs that are growing

And coral reefs that are healthy and thriving

the thing is: your side hasn't considered all of the OTHER possibilities that COULD be causing it.

I've named at least two that haven't been considered at all!

a correlation in time is not proof of a scientific cause and effect relationship. Period. Full Stop.

Your arguments are getting worse and this whole thing was re hashed dancing on the graves of some climbers. To fully label it all anthropogenic is extremely short sighted

That will continue to allude him. Along with all his charts and grafts starting on different years to appear to show what they claim. But if you pull up the charts and look back further it shows the opposite.

Man must have been responsible for the warming and cooling cycles from the last ice ages and warm periods following. But you won't ever get any explanation on that.

Confirmation bias.

Is man releasing more CO2 than would otherwise be present? Is CO2 a greenhouse gas?
Irrefutable yes to both.

Is man all to blame, or is it significant enough to even matter in the long run?
That’s impossible to answer.

I truly love the irony of a lefty calling others brainwashed. That in itself is all I need to hear to completely dismiss any further discussion. I will listen and chuckle, but until one sees the light they will continue to tread in darkness, never knowing anything else. Sad but true in many cases. Of course I’m sure BP was very skeptical of the Rona, Russiagate, Benghazi, Hunters fabulous paintings, Pelosis’s stock market expertise, pallets of cash to Iran, planes of illegals dropped off across the USA under the cover of darkness……. But I’m branded brainwashed….LOL. BP I’m sure you are a fine man, and you and I would have great conversations about our love of the outdoors and trapping, but let’s make a pledge to not bring up theories.

You need to be more specific about what location, and what timeframe.

But if the answer is different than what you believe, you’ll just say it’s fake news, so what’s the point?

Confirmation bias.

Please, I beg of you BP, DO NOT READ THIS!!!

It gives a history, if you will, of how many ice ages the earth has been through. These are climate scientists. I wonder who funded them.

https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/how-many-ice-ages-have-been-recorded-in-earth-s-history.html

I wonder if these same scientists you cite can give us a reason these ice ages ended? What caused them to melt without human interference?

These ice ages happened over MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of years. If you think the earth isn't this old, THEY STILL HAPPENED when looking at the same data.

I simply do not believe 97% of scientists/climate scientists, if they are true unbiased scientists, believe in man caused global warming based on all evidence.

When I see BP address Milankovitvh cycles, solar output and changes associated with the sun, and volcanic activity and NEGATE those natural cycles and occurrences, I might also consider man causing a minute amount of climate change.

Until that conversation happens, it is simply a bad case of confirmation bias.

Confirmation bias - Once we have formed a view, we embrace information that confirms that view while ignoring, or rejecting, information that casts doubt on it. Confirmation bias suggests that we don’t perceive circumstances objectively.

Rigorous skepticism is imperative to true science. A true scientist will be rigorously skeptical of his own work. They have to be. Peer review is a vicious process.

Money is a part of it

Control is the bigger factor,,,the actual end game

All living beings on earth require energy,,,,,Control the energy,,,,control the world

Before you know it,,, governments will be limiting where and when a citizen can travel/freedom,,,what kind of energy you can use,,,,,and taxing you on it

I believe limiting mobility was why the evs were pushed so hard along with tracking and monitoring. Especially the monitoring and tracking after seeing what a co workers tesla does. 5 camaras always watching outside and inside the cab. Charging monitoring where % price and milage.

Can see what's going on in and around his car from anywhere. At least now I know why that teen girls daddy bought her that car she was acting like she wanted to race my old truck with for now.

Fortunately, they won't be finding me under a glacier in the future. It could have happened a few times. Although I could have just hit one of those sub glacier river systems and shot out the bottom into the river a in few minutes battered and drowned for the birds to pick clean.

Regardless of the cause, global warming has happened before. I embrace it and will resist the efforts of capitalists that would tax enslave me to fund the impossible reversal and line their pockets.

Pakistani man missing since 1997 found perfectly preserved in glacier. Naseeruddin vanished during a snowstorm 28 years ago. His frozen, mummified body has just emerged as a glacier melted, with his ID still in his pocket.

Since 1900 the Earth's temperature has risen 1.8 degrees F. The poles are inceasing about 2-3 times as fast as the rest of the earth and that is why we probably don't notice the change as much as those who live closer to the poles and there are far, far fewer people who live in those regions. How much the oceans will rise due to the ice and glacier melting we don't know. Warmer air holds more water then cooler air and thus more water can be held in the atmosphere, at least temporarily and may well be why we see fewer rain events but more during each event.

Taxes will not build the infrastructure that many will need as things change and many insurance companies won't even cover assets they feel are in too high risk areas. The population of the world is centralizing to find work, housing and amenities and many of those locations may well have issues either from high water, flooding, heat etc.
Tax money to fund research and engineering studies to help decide how to confront those issues to me is money well spent. Taxes won't be able to do the changes necessary,we have to hope the private sector can find the best ways to manage as the changes take place. We are seeing that now with the insurance companies not covering properties in specific areas or raising rates to the point where development will be only by the very wealthy if at all.

On the original topic yes it’s good that people are being found to give people closure, also they can find other things that have been hidden there for years.
