It' was pretty much a cake walk. Went in, got prepped, shaved. IV, meds to feel no pain but awake. Doc went in through the groin. Doc put in stents in branch arteries, original 5 main bypass graphs were all clean. After the procedure while on the table they had me take 6x 75mg Plavix ( blood thinners). Spend an hour in recovery before they would attempt to allow me to get up and walk around the nurse's station (it was the test). I had some bleeding issues from the incision site ... go figure, blood thinners, duh ... so back to bed and they cleaned up the blood. Waited another 45 minutes, before another trip round the nurse's station ... no bleeding ... released to my driver to go home with instructions. Took it easy the rest of the day, was back to walking the next day. Not really any pain through the whole procedure or after.
If they put stents in you'll be on blood thinners for at least a full year.
They didn't find any valve issues, so I don't know what happens with those issues.
Actually one of the easiest procedures I've had.

Well, you guys were right. Just got done and it wasn't too bad, just awkward. Hope all went well. Everything good or did they have to put some stents in?

I have had both - through the groin and through the wrist. The wrist much better - in my opinion They went through my wrist, but I still unexpectedly had a nurse shave about a third of my nether region, just in case things went wrong with my wrist. Talk about awkward.

Talk about awkward. She didn't need to do it, she just lost a bet with the rest of the nurses.
I have nothing clever to put here.

The janitor that has to haul the NAFA bag of fur out to the dumpster won't be impressed.

Between having a thrombectomy ( removing a clot from the brain ) and performing a heart ablation , both involving going through the groin, I just assume I'll be sidelining my humility .
Glad it worked out, Sam.
