Old picture, but a gal had this big boar coon knocking down her trash can. She trapped it and wanted to show it off. Can you folks tell me what on earth is wrong with its hind end? I've not seen anything quite like it.

Seriously is there something else wrong with the raccoon? I thought that was normal for an older male. I see butts like that in dogs who are unaltered at my job.

Took my dog in to get the glands drained it was bothering the dog the Vet said I could do it at home. Told her she could do it that would cost $100 in Vegas boy did I get the look. LOL

Not something Ive seen in my area, and I've caught a fair number of big boar coon. Maybe I haven't been paying attention.

Thank you all for the information. I guess I just haven't noticed it before. I sure don't skin as many as some of you do.

Looks normal to me

I'm starting to worry that this post is going to earn me a nickname or just a reputation, but I'll add to my question. TDC, that coons vent looks more normal to me. Part of what stood out to me on the coon I posted was how large the bare area was, taking up nearly a third of the width of a coon that weighed 37 lbs. But again I've only skunk a few hundred in my life, nothing like some of you guys do, so I might not of seen enough coon vents to see all shapes and sizes.
