I spent hours researching different brands, watching videos, talk forums etc. I went with a garmin 95uhd and its the best money I've ever spent on fishing. Its all easy to use touch screen and once I got used to the side scanning option for bottom bouncing walleye I couldn't be without it. I eventually will bite the bullet and go livescope that's also why I went with a big garmin.

cover the basics on a basic fishing boat https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1023054578?pid=246297

I and my neighbor run these 4 inch

they offer it in a larger screen as well but add money for the bigger screen

time, water temp , speed , depth , GPS with auto draw mapping , not actual maps but once you have been there you have your own track

not bad at all for 200 dollars , down side is small screen

they make a 7 inch screen with side scan as well for 520.00 I could see going to that at some point

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Son in law has a friend he fishes walleye tournaments and consistently gets the bigger fish with his sonar set up. He paid $8000 grand for his set up from what I was told. From what he said it takes some getting familiar with its use to get really good with it.
