The majority of us here are in pretty good shape, or at least used to be, physically fit… what sports did you guys play??
I wrestled and was a catcher… I qualified for state in wrestling.. but unfortunately I got bested there.
I wish I could have been a way better catcher in high school,,, be really nice locking down an MLB contract… especially with the cubs…
But GOD said I was needed to do other things.

None. I never wanted to spend a minute longer than I had to at that day-prison they called school.

None in school... like waggler, I couldn't get out of there soon enough. I did play little league softball, where I played first base, and pitched some. I thought I wanted to play in school until I found out I would need to stay there every day and that just wasn't gonna work for me, I had too much stuff to do outdoors.

Trap shooting. Like others, I couldn't stand the place, but of course trap shooting didn't take place at school.

Tennis

Played baseball and was pretty good, also played basketball. Broke my leg really bad as a junior playing football and never played again. I was small but slow.

nothing on a school team. Junior year friends on the football team want me to play football. Did all the practices
and would have been the best bench warmer ever. Having never played and dont even know the rules now. I was 5'8" 165 . Not big enough for my speed and not fast enough for my size. Had a 5.1 40 meter dash to slow. But could run 2 miles.

But my bench warming dreams were dashed when I got rear ended cruzing on the local cruising strip by a chick not paying attention. My back and neck were messed up 5 or 6 months so football was out. .

Other than that had zero interest in anything to do with being at school any more than required.

I did wrestling, soccer and basketball. Our high school coach asked me to try out for football, after I played some pick up games with a bunch of our football players and they told him about me, but my parents wouldn't let me, because my uncle had both hips broken playing football when he was in school. I would of liked to have played. I'm built for it.

After school, in the fall and winter, I had traps to set and traps to run.

I was busy working to play sports since I was 14.

In a less lucid moment I joined freshman, (high school) basketball, there was so many of us they split us into two teams, of course only the main 5 guys on each team actually played most of the game....but, coach must have had a brain fart and put me in, for a couple minutes. My claim to fame was I made a rebound and then made the basket, 2 points, woo hoo!
Never played another minute or any other sport, and started my clamming career, lol

Track, distance runner.

Now if I'm running something has gone terribly wrong.

But I could do 13 minute two milers on my army PT tests.

My motto is running is only for when something is chasing you!...

Hockey all 4 years ...Goaltender ...and was dang good at it too.

Played Lacrosse my Sophomore year

Played 4-h softball was the pitcher on the jr league and shortstop on the Sr league. Played a little ffa basketball but it was interfering with my coonhunting so it was short lived.we never had football or wrestling in our school back then.i would of loved to wrestle i was good at it and would of loved football too but not sure what would of won football or coonhunting.
