Have for months been screaming about the impending dictatorship. Protesting in the streets with signs and marches to no avail. If posters, screaming and street walking hasn’t done anything can they not see that advocating for a ban on firearms would definitely seal the deal?

More coming out about MN shooter's mother. It seems the apple didn't fall far from the tree. At what point does it make sense for the parents to share the blame for turning these screwed up little monsters on the world?

Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

Careful what you wish for. Who would make the determination of someone is screwed up? What would be the criteria?

That's exactly why leftists/liberals are the fastest growing demographic of gun owners. They're starting to see the hypocrisy in saying "trump is a dictator" and "we shouldn't have the means to fight dictators". In the last 5 years or so, gun ownership has exploded for lefties, and continues to grow quickly.

Of course, that's for the regular folk. The democrat political party still believes in subjugation and slavery. Lots of lefties are starting to disagree with the party on this.

I remember years back when half the boys and a few of the girls had firearms in the back window gun racks of their trucks in the school parking lots. There werent many school shootings then with 50 firearms in the school parking lot.

I graduated in 1985. I had a shotgun and a 30-06 in the back window rack of my truck every day in the school parking lot.
Neither one of the guns ever had a notion to go on a shooting spree.
No one ever complained about them.

Heck in 4th grade I got a 20ga Stevens/Savage single shot for Christmas.
I took it and a box of ammo to school for show and tell.
It sat in the case on my desk all day long. Didn't hurt a sole.

I grew up in a different time, I'm thankful I had that opportunity.

Mass shootings didn't happen back then. But the people with mental issues also lived in state hospitals.

Thanks to the bleeding heart liberals the illnesses are running loose in America.

That is correct. There weren't any shootings back then. We brought our guns to school when I was in high school because we were going pheasant hunting right after school.

I remember one of my hunting buddies had saved his money and bought a used 12 gauge O/U. The principal who was a hunter himself had to go out to my buddies truck to check it out when he heard about it. He praised my friend for saving the money to buy such a fine shotgun. That was back when most people had common sense.

Now, some legislators are calling for a ban on all assault rifles and high capacity magazines. It didn't work in other areas that put these rules into effect. I don't know why they think it would in MN.

I believe they do this to tie up courts and move money around. It's gotta cost money for hearings? In the end, not gonna happen because the Constitution. These hearings shouldn't even happen. Any constitutionally protected right should never even go to court ever as it can't be changed due to the protection of the Constitution. Waste of their time and our money. Am I wrong

A fellow I worked with married a MN gal. He went up to visit the inlaws last summer. He was window shopping with the bride in Duluth. Got kicked out of a bookstore because he was wearing a shirt that said something like "my AR identifies as a bolt action". If that is the common sentiment of city folk there, y'all are liable to have some real interesting state laws thrown at you.

The only thing gun control accomplishes is to punish law abiding gun owners.

Leftists started buying guns during COVID and the ensuing BLM riots because they finally realized that they weren't going to be protected
