BREAKING: The FBI has announced that Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr., the suspect in the stabbing death of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a North Carolina train, has been federally charged with one count of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system.
"The brutal attack on Iryna Zarutska on the Charlotte Light Rail was a disgraceful act that should never happen in America," FBI Director Kash Patel said.
"The FBI jumped to assist in this investigation immediately to ensure justice is served, and the perpetrator is never released from jail to kill again.
I want to thank Attorney General [Pam] Bondi for her pursuit of today’s federal charges, which are the first step toward delivering justice for Iryna and her family – as well as the millions of Americans who deserve to live in our great American cities free from being targeted by violent criminals."
Bondi said that the Department of Justice will seek the maximum penalty for Brown, saying that the Aug. 22 attack was a "direct result of failed soft-on-crime policies that put criminals before innocent people."

There are many parts of the system

His mom threw him out of the house and encouraged law enforcement and the corrections department to lock him up.
She did her job.
Who knows better than a mom with a child out of control ? Kudos on her for saying the truth and not trying to cover for him.

Law enforcement did what they had to do when called. The guy had a rap sheet longer than a CVS receipt.
They did their job.

Which brings us to the judicial system..........
How well are they doing their job ?

Finally , the lawmakers , the ones ultimately responsible for keeping people safe by enacting laws to preserve order.
They are the ones who created the local environment of chaos.

it sounds like this goes back to the conversation we had the other day about insane asylums. This guy did not seem to be in his right mind. His mom apparently knew he was dangerous, and told authorities, but nothing was/could be done about it. Apparently he also has a rap sheet... and kept getting released. This guy should have been tucked in a mental hospital somewhere... not roaming the streets.
