Scott, I'd congratulate you but I don't think divorce is a good thing although it's sometimes necessary.

I am glad it's behind you now and you took the advice of hiring counsel. IMHO now is the time to focus on your kids and grandchildren. They are more important than getting back in the cesspool of dating

***Circumstances

friend at work just got divorced. They had an understanding and lived together untill the kids were out of the house. The understanding was she ran around repeatedly he was done they became roommates tell the kids were gone.

He still never messed around tell divorced they lived together for years like roommates. He got her out and divorced and last week when I talked to hime sounded like he was running like a rutting buck.

Glad for him but sure makes me thankful for my wife. Only a couple things I can figure is 1 I got lucky 2 got her young enough and we grew up together. Regardless I'm blessed.

Do what works for you and makes you happy that’s all that matters in the end.

Not something to celebrate. I'm just glad all the children are grown up.

It might be depending on what you were putting up with. I would bet that he didn't just wake up and decide it was the thing to do. I am sure it has to be a weight off his mind.

I'm not going to assume anything about what went into his decision, but it's still a tragedy. Timing of the heart attack was... striking to me, as a religious person.

If you would have read everything he posted you would not have to assume. I am sure the heart attack struck him and her too. No idea if they are religious. But I assume it struck them more then you. Carry on with your religious better then the rest self. May you marriage always be peaches and cream.
