Dinner out with the wife and the drone show were nice. Both boys had girls on their arm when we got back to the festival. The one with the 15 year old pointed her mom out and told my wife and took her over and introduced them. Seems like a very nice young lady and one I kind of hope he takes a serious interest in. She didn't seem like the typical Inmature been getting around girls They have been dating.
The bully was there but went the opposite direction when he saw my youngest untill later when he had 2 friends to back him up. The youngest was avoiding the taunting then he said ok handed his hat to the girl he was with and started forward and they backed out just kidding just kidding. He and the girl both thought that was odd. Later the girl with my 15 year old told them he did knock one of the kids teeth out yesterday according to her friend but who knows? My son didn't get close enough to see in the dark.
And Im still not taking then hunting Indiana youth standing by what I said. BUT my wife caved and said she would will take them. She is soft and gives in. She let them have their phone back as well after they straightened up for a few weeks. I wouldn't have done that yet either. But the behavior issues do seem to have corrected themselves. So maybe she is correct in giving in? She didn't say she was not going to take them or they could not go so I guess she is not giving in. I told them i was not going to take them not they could not go. Minor detail but important. Because I have a rule I have to do what I said I was going to and not back off even if I want to. And I do want them to be able to go. but if i back down and take them The kids won't believe im serious next time. At this point they dont need me to hunt, gut, drag, load, skin, or quarter and get deer in the cooler. Just need transportation to the woods.
My wife was telling me how much better and more helpful they have been maybe you should go ahead and take them. I told her as much as I would like to I can't because I said I was not going to. She said I guess I can take them since they can handle everything to and after the kill ? I confirmed they can handle everything and told her its up to her if she takes them but im not. That I can't because I said I was not going to.
But I can take them squirrel hunting in the same area and they can scout it at the same time, and I can go out back to our range and check zero on their guns with them and play with the newest silencer. I didn't say I was not going to do that or they could not. Maybe a loop hole but ita waht im running with.
