Not really a topping, but I like a splash of balsamic vinegar on my pizza. I’m pretty much a garbage bear with toppings, I like them all, except for pineapple. Same here.

I can tell you what DOSEN"T belong on pizza - chicken and pineapple. I always thought pineapple on pizza sounded disgusting... but I worked for a little while at a pizza shop with a buffet and we could eat free pizza. One day all that was left was candian bacon and pineapple pizza so I said what the heck and tried a piece....it wasn't bad! Also a fan of buffalo chicken pizza.

I can tell you what DOSEN"T belong on pizza - chicken and pineapple. I used to eat both , we would take the kids to pizza ranch , they had a cowboy , a BBq chicken , a Sweet Swine that was pineapple and ham.

Do they make their crust out of fry bread JP? That might be worth trying. No, but it is a thin crust pizza. Over the last few years every pizza place here seems to be getting skimpy on the toppings though. Shrinkation is getting pretty old. I’d rather pay more than pay the same and get less.

![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/10/full-57883-272066-img_2306.jpeg) We make pizza often, this is Italian sausage with wild Matsutakes mushrooms, basil. Best pizza I have ever had is in West Yellowstone next to the grocery store. That place makes a killer pizza. Meat must be on pizza for me. wws

I've warmed up to Hawaiian pizza (pineapple and ham), as long as I don't think of it as pizza, but its own thing. The pineapple really does pair up perfectly with the ham; I can't imagine combining pineapple with any other toppings on a pizza, though.
I've heard that in Hawaii, they use SPAM on their Hawaiian pizza, since SPAM is popular there.
Also, according to Google, Hawaiian pizza was invented in Canada by a Greek immigrant.

There is a place near me that has a specialty pizza on their menu.
A white pizza with shrimp scampi. No tomato sauce , but scampi sauce and plenty of shrimp. The aroma from a pie fresh out of the oven is to die for , super tasty.

Back when I ate that kinda stuff, there used to be an Italian place that ran a lunch buffet. They kept a steady supply of pizza slices out........and A#1 most popular that they could not keep stocked was their desert pizza. Basic pizza crust on top of which they would spread canned pie filling (cherry, apple, peach, etc), with some crumbles......they baked that, then when it came out of the oven, they topped it with a white icing like you would put on a cinnamon roll. It didn't last long.
Dave Portnoy didn't like it, but a couple slices of Casey's breakfast pizza is really good alongside a big cup of their regular black coffee.
As for low carb pizza.......one option is to have it piled high with meat, cheese and vegetables, then scrape it off the crust. Combined with a salad, it's a meal.
Long shot option for a low carb pizza is a true sourdough crust that has been allowed to proof for about 24 hours. By then, most of the carbs that were in the flour have been fermented out.

Pepperoni is my first choice. Next is a fully loaded supreme with all the veggies. After that ANY pizza except barbecue or one with pineapple. Yuck. They will probably put on my tombstone some day, “died from pizza.” I do love pizza. Lots of different kinds of pizza. Jim

About ten years ago or so , I was in Seal Beach,Ca. for a gun shoot on the Navy's dime and time. I called up a buddy of mine who ran a bar near where I was staying to let him know I was in the area and that I'd be by his establishment once I got freed up. Myself and a couple buds showed up and he made us up this pizza that had a white sauce , fresh spinach, and lobster that he'd caught the night before . Phenomenal.

Hamburger and onion pizza. Then add some more Vidalia onions before we bake it if it's a frozen pizza. Thin crust only. Hate all pepperoni pizzas.

only good thing about living in Connecticut is that New Haven pizza is the best you can get! X2 I have one of Pepe's of New Haven locations 2 miles away. New Haven style pizza is the best. Coal fired.
