In NJ we snare. No leg holds allowed and body grips are almost limited to underwater. So our trapping equipment is pretty light. I like to travel light. Most days everything fits in my coat pockets. I hate having to carry stuff but some days, my pockets aren't quite enough. I have a framing tool belt that doesn't get much use any more. I mostly sit in an office now. Considering using it as my trapping rig. Anybody else do this?

I’m able to drive to most of my sets. But I’ve been wearing a framing rig like that for close to 40 years, just not for trapping.

Eh...wot?

I could see it being very helpful if I still had to walk to a lot of my sets. Tools and wire could go in the pouches. All you'd have to carry would be traps and catches.

If you're confident your stuff won't fallout out of it and you wanna give it a shot, go for it. My son wears a simple cloth nail apron when setting beaver snares to hold his lures and such. Keeps his jacket a little cleaner.

I got one of those, hanging on a nail in the basement. I wear a much smaller one nowadays.

Nope. I got rid of my pouches as soon as I could.
