Why is Thanksgiving Day always on a Thursday?

Pilgrims befriended the Indians on a Thursday and had fried turkey. Everyone knows that.

I'm sure Keith will google up a reason, but basically its just tradition. Lincoln decided on it, FDR made it law.

I read this just recently , Thanksgiving is getting more popular in the UK and some other spots in Europe.

Not a lot , but some people are starting to celebrate it.

The reason why is not for the tradition , but the fantastic American feast that comes with it.

Ya gotta admit , a great meal with a turkey, ham or both and all the fixings , appetizers , pies and drinks. Sharing this with a huge group of family and friends , is very hard to turn down.
