Were you or are you on disability. Neither your before dollar amount or after dollar amount is what you should be paying each month for standard medicare. Do you just have medicare A and B? Or do you also have medicare C and or D? Lot of different scenarios here

Still waiting on the rest of the story .... Medicare is $185/month now won't be going up until 2026 with the annual increase in SS. Medicare requires plans A, B, and D thru the government or private suppliers.

To pay only $125/month would indicate a 'cheap coverage' plan C having a discount from the $185 premium for the year. Plan C premium and extent of services change every year from private insurance companies with an automatic enrollment until you change plans ... You have until Dec 7 to make that change. Don't like the price, don't blame Trump for the insurance companies revaluation of the plan costs. Contact an insurance agent specializing in Medicare insurance to evaluate and find the best plans in your local.

Other explanation is you where receiving an incorrect discounted premium and Medicare is correcting the error and clawing the money back which wasn't charged. ( Happened to me once. Yes, it's a surprise and it can hurt in the pocket book short term. Again not Trump's fault for a government or insurance company's accounting error.)

Disability works the same as Medicare.

Obamacare was supposed to fix costs! Healthcare was affordable and available before the government got involved!

My buddy just told me the same thing. His went from like 10.00 to 900.00 (or something real close to that) and he was howling, so I didn't get any more info from him. He hasnt left his house or answered the phone since he got that price increase......maybe I should do a welfare check? LOL.

I would look at your drug (D) plan. Wife's plan went up 5x but that means you make some calls and find a new one. Medicare supplement would be the next thing to look at. Good luck

Turning 65 in December, part A = 0. part B = $187. G medagap plan = 114.80 part D = $85.90 + $ 188.33 for my meds. $ 576.00 a month for Healthcare. I think I will be going on the wife's health care plan until she retires. Of course there are many advantage plans that have 0 dollar plans. It will come down to what your needs are. Each state has there own list of insurances for your state.
