If I run into any yankee folk l will ask them.

But yes, I have drank raw milk and have access to it if I want some more.

It’s deer hunting, not deer passing.

We did tell we sold our goat herd. Used to buy cow milk from a local farm before we moved to the farm as pet milk. For pets consumption. But the laws changed on that. So now to stay legal you need to own a cow or buy a cow share. Basically pay $10 a gallon and sign the agreement making you part owner/leasing one of the cows. when we come across the right cow that puts out the right milk a2 a2 or whatever one the wife wants we will probably buy it. But I had been nice not being tied down as tight with milking 2x a day.

Depending on the # we had in milk we did separate mom and kids over night them milk in the morning and put them back together. The kids took care of of not needing to milk a 2nd time.

BUT still tied us down more than we are now.

All the time. Amish store sells it here. Otherwise known as real milk.

Easy to find here. The best cheeses in France are made from raw milk.

Back in the 70's I used to help milk on a 300 cow operation so I could hunt ducks on the place. I can still taste the cream I used to skim off the top of the tank.

We know a gal that milks a few cows, and we get all of our milk from her. I don't know the legality of it. My system doesn't agree with pasteurized milk, but I can drink all the raw milk that I want without issue. I enjoy having the cream to make butter and to use in recipes.

You can not buy raw milk here, but can own a share of a cow and get milk from it. It seems like it was $4 a gallon to own a share of the cow. I do not drink milk. My wife wanted it to make cheese.

When I was a kid, I’d walk a couple hundred yards down the road to the local dairy, fill up a gallon jug right out of their holding tank, toss $1.25 in the old cigar box left for that purpose, and walk home. That dairy was where I learned to trap, and I still trap it to this day!
