Coworker has one. Doesn’t look like either of those two. He likes it a lot.

Several guys at work have them. All different kinds, hot food beats the heck out of a sammich! Wrap in foil, or use disposable metal containers.

Works good on soups and wet meals like chicken and dumplings.

Those look pretty handy. I don't believe they were out when I was working. All my work trucks had generators on them. I had a small South Bend microwave that heated hundreds of leftovers, sandwiches, cup a soup and coffee.

Wolf, I’ve looked at them for a couple years but have always been afraid to buy one. I’m on month four of tractor time and I’m sandwiched out. Cold peace of KFC and a granola bar today. I might have to do some more research and just buy one.

I'm sure they work ok, but lunch is sandwiches, lol, and no clean up!....
All the years I worked full days clamming, lunch was a peanut butter and jelly sammich and a bottle of warm water....I'm an easy keeper, grin

Same here, never knew there was such a thing. Would seem pretty handy to me.

Got a gift from my brother. It was 3 AA batteries with a note that said, Gift Not Included.

Looks neat.

I will say the thermos works well when used properly. If you are putting something hot in a thermos, you need to put boiling water in it first to preheat the thermos. I leave the water in for 2-3 minutes. I then reheat the water in a measuring cup to boiling in the microwave and pour back into the thermos for another 2-3 minutes. While it is preheating I am heating the soup or noodles or mashed potatoes or whatever my son wants. He says the food is always hot at lunch.

But I am not knocking the heated lunch box. Again, looks neat!! Problem I have is having something to keep the cold stuff cold and the hot stuff hot. I pack about three small meals a day.

I've used one 30 years ago.it was corded 12 or 24 volt .i worked with 2 other guy building and maintaining ice roads .it worked very well .i had a corning ware container that fit inside and would put in left overs from oil rig camp suppers.i put in a little water in the bottom of heater and plugged it bin 3/4 hr before lunch .the heater got to 350 *so no problem getting it hot.worked with a team of 3 and sometimes i would put 3 cans of campbells thick and chunky soup(open top a bit ) in with some water and it took about 2 hrs and i had hot lunch for all of us.i sometimes made hot grilled samiches wrapped in tin foil no water.i'm retired now but still got the thing and it works like day one

Not exactly a lunch box, but I have a medium size cooler that heats and cools from the car system. Really works great.

Yep so sorry it took so long to reply but first learned about them from some of the guys down hear. Basically there just insulated lil cooler deals with battery powder heating elements and metal removal trays . It'll keep whatever nice and cool till you turn the element on apparently. Some are pretty simple when you have to plug it in your cars charger or you charge it at home and you just turn it on a hour or so before you wanna eat and it just warms it up if the course of an hour. But man some of them ! One of the shore tankerman showed how he can control his from his phone..uses and app to control how hot it gets hold long it runs when it runs ect. Some of the Japanese ones are pretty cool too because there stackable on the inside...think there called bento boxes ?

Talked with one dude who loves them because he does the frozen meal prep deal and he programmed his to about two hours before lunch it turn in and stated warming up his frozen meal prep. Usually it's like a big frozen block of chicken rice and veggies or something.... And by them them lunch rolls around he pops it open and it's perfectly thawed out warmed and ready to eat.
