backroadsarcher trapper B Joined: Nov 2012 Frazee, MN	I still nick a hole in them dang things when I skin them. You are right, to me they are the worse to skin. I would do otter any day before a yote. Good job they are much easier to put up then skinning them.

yotetrapper30 trapper Joined: May 2011 Oakland, MS	I'd rather skin 3 otter than one coyote! Although it's not always possible Smash, the sooner you skin them, the better. Ideally like 5 minutes after dispatch. Once the carcass cools down they become much harder to skin....when they are still warm they are much easier. Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

Needed Chuckie to get the gambrel up in the tree when he got home. Was Cold by then but by gum, I got it done

3togo trapper 3 Joined: Jan 2018 Henry Co, IL	Nice going Smash!!!! Many of us have skinning machines that makes the job somewhat easier. But I can still remember years ago when I skinned one in an old corn crib when it was -11°F. Using a headlamp.
