I want to get a couple more. When is it to late to go after them. As in the problems that come when they are denned up for a while.

It depends. Our area they start to rub sometime in January but can be earlier. I was usually done with coon after Christmas but have caught some nice ones in January.

Only real way to find out is go catch a few. You stand a better chance of them being rubbed this time of year, but there also is some really nice coon right now.

Keep trapping them and toss the rubbed ones

Do the game birds a favor and stay on the coon till Feb 15.
