Our Post Office is smaller than a single wide trailer so like 2 employees average a clerk and mailman. I was getting a Christmas card with my old RR same house different number on it so the same slot at the PO. The Postmaster kept complaining she would stamp all over the envelope wrong address “have not had RR for years“ in the time it took to do that she could have put it in my slot probably would have been faster even.

This went on for a few years she finally started sending the card back her excuse was if the had a substitute they would not know what the address was then. LOL

Funny, around xmas I had a two different packages with very random tracking histories. One started on Georgia, got to Kansas, then to Mpls/St.Paul (my home state) then back to Kansas, then back to Mpls and finally to my local post office in Mn. The second package basically did the same thing but shipped from Cali. For whatever reason, the packages would ship backwards to the previous state it just came from. UPS and Fed-X, keep up the good work.

Good chance it will be in Indianapolis a good while. The main office in Indianapolis is a mess.

Couple years ago l ordered some fly tying material from a shop in Florida. Turned out the guy was from Currituck,NC
He emailed me and said my order was shipped. Because the material were so light he sent them in a USPS padded envelope.
After a week it finally got as close as about 70 miles from my address, but then it was shipped to three other locations back towards Florida but then went to freakin Denver, Colorado.
The package stayed in Denver for two weeks then finally was sent to me.

Whoever runs the postal service now could screw up a one car junkyard

I have a package that made it from the supplier to the post office in Santa Clarita, CA on January 5, 2026; hasn't moved since by the USPS notifications. Late update was arriving last Monday.

I appreciate our local postal workers, great people, going out of their way to deliver and take in packages. It's the rest of the country's postal service that needs to have some attitude adjustment. And while there are many good people in the postal system, there sure seems to be more dead beats than just a few years ago.

The Honda dealer said he’d send another one if it’s not here soon. I told him don’t sweat it it’s out of his control I’m in no hurry it’s kind of entertaining. laugh

We got a Christmas card yesterday post marked Dec.18. Midway USA should take over for the Post Office. Side note. If you order from them pay for UPS upgrade.

No real trouble here. Our post office seems like it goes out of it's way to help but there's only so much they can do. Christmas time we ordered 90 percent of the gifts and other waiting on the shipper to send them out there was no problems. UPS and fedx were good also.

I'd be raising heck with your electric company! They can clearly see it was mailed plenty early by the postmark... they should not have charged you a late fee!

That's true, and your 100% correct....But the local utility company is pretty hardcore.

What I didn't say in the first post is that the late notice was also a disconnect notice!....43 year customer, never late one time, and they didn't even attempt to reach out before throwing the disconnect threat down.

We're burning a lot more wood now. wink

LOL I had a similar thing happen. I forgot to pay the electric bill a few months ago. Thought I had, but somehow missed it. Got a phone call informing me our power would be disconnected that afternoon. WHAT?!? LOL. I was able to pay it over the phone, but I would have thought they'd have given me a little more warning than that!!
