The first place there not time tested. My little Honda generator is. The ones I looked at, the solar panels didn't look all that sturdy, that is if the suns shining. You can plug it into the back of a pickup to recharge. 5 gallons of gas and my Honda will run a long long time. Cost is a issue also at least for the better/bigger ones.

I’ve had one for few years. Bought mine to run my CPap when we are in Canada fishing or hunting. Have used it during power outages at the house as well before I hooked up a backup generator. Haven’t used it for much else but I haven’t had any problems.

We have used the Generac version and love it. Powers the cabin and when it is low we charge it with a generator

I have one the same size. 296Wh. I use it primarily for reloading. It powers my powder balance scales. Either my Super Trickler or Satorius. Clean power is essential for that task. It would be disastrous to screw up a powder through. It does not have enough power to run my AMP annealer. I travel with it to all my longrange benchrest matches.

I have a 12KW power station and can run my whole house for over 8 hours. Hooking up panels when it gets warmer. Backup propane generator that ties with power station for long outages. 30% rebate in 2025. Ecoflow is the brand. GenSolar has a store here so have somewhere to fall back on. Freight getting the equipment to Alaska is a big cost!

Problem here having a small generator out all night they tend to walk and are also noisy.

I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

I borrowed a friends anker solix. I think they r around $3000. Fully charged, I didn't have any panels hooked up. Hooked it to my camper in the eve. Ran a couple led lights, fridge on gas but does use a little power to keep it going, not sure why and the smoke and gas alarm were on. It was dead before morning. My 5 year old deep cycle battery lasts longer. It was big and heavy, probably over 2 ft tall. I was not impressed.
Not sure what u want to use it for.
Elk hunting trip 6 years ago a friend took a powerstation like the one in 1st post with a small solar panel setup. It worked for him to power his c pap machine.

Only local available unit was made by Onan. Paid over 500 bucks, wanted it for a Cpap and to power lights at our recreational camp. It did not show a full charge after over 24 hours. Plugged it into a pedestal fan and it showed the draw and battery life. Only ran about a third of what it was advertised to do. Took it back. Will be buying whatever Costco in Anchorage has for sale in the upcoming months. I have a little inverter that runs off of ryobi 40 volt batteries, pretty slick but I do not have any of the spendy batteries to run in it. It works good but not too long of battery life.

it's a battery with an inverter , got to bring the trolling motor batteries in the house any way so they don't freeze , just hook up the inverter or a cell phone charger to one and you get your phone and flashlights charged for a good while.

I also have an inverter and charger that runs off Rigid tool batteries I think I am up to 8 or 9 of those batteries , so just keep them charged. that inverter will also run the laptop for a while. incase I were to need to check something , the phone can be the internet hotspot and both can run on the tool batteries or off the trolling motor batteries with the other inverter.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Huh interesting yeah always figured that's all it was . Just wanted a video of a guy building one and he made it seem pretty easy all things considered

This isn't what you're looking at, but may be useful anyway.

my hunting property is off grid. I put solar on the garage. I decided to configure the batteries and inverter in a way that I could use it as a portable power source if necessary, but I've never moved it. The (solar) power in and (ac) power out are both connected on twist lock style plugs. I can disconnect it, load it up, and have a 3kw power supply.

I got an aluminum server rack, cut i up, and welded it back together in a form that is stable without being secured.
I have two 100ah 48v LiFePO4 batteries (around 5,000 watt hours each). I have 3.6kw of solar making an awning over the doors into the garage.
