when he gets home, lol I swore off mcdonalds.. Hes takin me to cracker barrel now..in case the ice storm misses mississippi and hes broke when he comes home..lol And hes making lots of memories too.

I really enjoy Cathryn’s posts - about everything - from trapping to selling apples.
And if you havent ever heard trappers bragging, you never stood around the fur buyers establishment very long back in the late 70’s They were the dumb ones, the best ones back then you wouldn't think caught a thing.

How did he do on his arkansas coyote trip? He ended up with 52 yotes and cat in nine days. He skinned all the yotes but one that had mange and he has them all sold already. The same.guy buys all he catches every year and hes thrilled with their quality. Thats awsome

Id let it go if i were you..but i see it creeps up every now and then on my posts Your idea and mine ...and anyone on here with half sense.. of a compliment isnt even close. Your insinuatiin that jerry was able to trap because i worked and supported him wasnt a compliment. It was actually the opposite. "These people" and THIS PERSON specifically know exactly what you meant.

What ever, I am still very proud to sit with them ( both Jerry and brother John) at conventions and just listen to them. And I would like t o meet Catherin at a convention sometime too......jk

To all yall that gave jerry heck about his wyoming marten trapping trip...and kept talking about how could he afford to go trap em??
Guess what?
The markets hot and hes got em..
Next year half you guysll be trying to play catch up by targettin em And youll end killing the market cause ya flooded it..
Thats why it pays to trap even when the markets not that hot..cause ya never know....
Hes been offered great money straight through on his collection of 76 but hes in no hurry to sell em..lol..might get hotter.
What is "great" money Catheryn? Buyer here in Fairbanks is paying around 90 top. Has Jerry been offered that much? Reluctant to believe lower 48 marten can FLOOD the marten market. Up here marten numbers rise and fall regardless of the market and the catch. Last season much of Alaska was on an extreme high in marten numbers. Apparently that didn't flood the market! Again, me and I bet others, especially Alaskans are interested in what early season marten are bringing. Can you put your money where your mouth is, so to speak?
