I think y’all took the bait of an anti! … could be … or could also be she’s the granddaughter of a trapper that was on here before and is legitimately curious
Insert profound nonsense here

In reality , being in touch with the world is the most important! If every kid worked on a farm just one summer, they would have a better sense of reality.

I like the feeling of outsmarting a crafty critter, and there's nothing like the feeling of hanging up a fur on a stretcher and sitting back and observing the result of an hour or two of combing, washing, skinning, and fleshing. And being so close to a live animal.
North to the Future!

For me, it was all about the exercise, the fresh air, and the freedom of just being out there. I swear I learned something new every year about the animals I was after.
Stop giving them free benefits and they will deport themselves.

For me, it is just being out there seeing natures displays of beauty. When tuned in, the silence can be broken by birds and other creatures. Also, the smell of a nicked skunk pod is a reminder that I am moving too fast!
If your mind draws a blank, turn off the sound, because ya can't learn a thing if you're doin all the talkin

I don't know why, I've been at it my whole life, shared a lot of the time with a dog. Have met a lot of people I trapped on, and with, sold and bought fur and dogs from over the years. Trapping will allow you to experience the whole spectrum reading animals, making bait/lure, observing your dogs reaction to a drag trail ,selling your catch, evaluating traps, sets dealing with all the different challenges and having a wife who might not understand why but puts up with it! Its a good time to be a trapper!
