Been driving an Outback for over a year. The AWD is unbeatable, and I’ve put a lot of dead critters in the back, but now knowing they support the ASPCA has me rethinking my decision.

I briefly thought about buying a used one and using it as a trapping rig . I would be able to run incognito deep into public lands overrun with freaks and pull a few bobcats outta la la land before they noticed.....

However, I'd have to dress the part .....and that ain't happening

And what if someone I knew was to see me at the gas station or sumpthin ?

Aint happening

Leroy Bob you've already got the car and maybe it's paid for so just keep driving it. I don't see the point in getting rid of it if you like it.

I never understood people that put part of their identity in the vehicle that they drive (or refuse to drive). Odd.

I think everyone on this form knows someone who owns one or has owned one. BUT, after reading 4 pages of this, I don't think I even want to drive past a ru dealership any more.. LOL

I have a friend who has one and loves it.

From the ASPCA website, about the Subaru partnership:

You proved my point.

Imagine a cereal so bad adding two scoops of raisins made it better.

That never came up when my wife bought hers that seemed shady to me.

I asked my friend who purchased a new Subaru what charity he chose when he bought his? He said they never mentioned anything about donating to a charity.
Obviously some Subaru CEO is sympathetic towards animal rights organizations.

The one I "try" to maintain. Boxer engine.
All of a sudden stopped using oil.
And the coolant is low.

They say it is weather related. (cold)
I say. Head gasket.
I'll be the second to know.

Pressure test through what
to diagnose this ??? All cyls?

We got a new Subaru dealership a couple counties over and you pught to hear their marketing why you should come purchase from them. A nature park, dog park, and climbing wall.

Not a word on the quality of the product they offer.

The ultimate hunting and trapping ride. My 2016 Forester has 176,000 hard miles on it. I have a set of steel wheels with deep studded winter treads for it. I pulled out a 2500 Silverado last winter on a state forest road after he slid off on icy patch.

Okay, you get a honest pass, and that goes for anyone else who carries a dead bear in a carrier on the back of a Subaru.

An old girlfriend of mine had one. Back in the mid 60s. 5 speed on the column. I had to think about shifting everytime I drove it. Which wasn't often.
