Not that I’ll draw a tag but thinking of applying for a WI tag again this season. How was the winter this year good, bad or ugly. Lacrosse area mostly.

Normal winter. I’ve seen plenty of large flocks in fields lately. If you’re looking to get in the draw for this season, you’re too late. You could probably get over the counter tags for the later seasons. They aren’t on sale yet though.

We have had a couple cold stretches but really not much snow. I would have to call it a fairly normal winter...so far.

I got drawn for Zone 1 Season C but I have always preferred later seasons. II think the tags will come up in March.

Just checked...:leftover tags for Zone 1 go on sale March 16. There are literally thousands available for Seasons C through E.

Hard part is the layers of ice. Deer and birds are struggling for food in North Central Wisconsin.

Right around where I live ( east-central WI- we had a big snow storm in late November. We have more total snowfall this winter then in several years but enough warm days to shrink it down and not icy type cover. Our numbers look very good. Interesting thing I have seen the last two weeks is not the big flocks of December but several more of the smaller flocks. It seems they are seperating and that seems early to me or maybe other reasons.

Lots of birds by me. They're doing good.

Fortunately for Richland County by me the snow/ice cover has been light. Plenty of crops still emerged above the snow. Naturally, localized circumstances can be worse or better than I see at my farm and surrounding area

The only thing worse than losing........Is QUITTING!
