You have this going for you. Not sure they will come to the US with new current models like Trump is trying for but if you google around you can import one. I could do the same thing but they aren't approved for over 35mph in Ohio or something silly.

Not going back to 2 stroke outboards....the gas I save about pays for a new one in 10 years, plus I can hear things other than the motor....and I have plenty enough power and torque.

I hope it means deleting all the stuff on semi's that makes them unreliable will be legal now.

The regulations were stupid the formulas were manipulated so they pumped out V8 and V10 trucks and stopped selling the mini trucks the opposite of the intended outcome to begin with. Lots of regulations zero common sense and added expense.

So if we burn more gas in a different way how far ahead are we going to be really did it ever change anything really? If co2 is a big issue and trees consume it why no worldwide tree planting programs but politicians only want your money to fix it they say. I don’t think we will ever go back to the 50s but you can bet the extreme examples are coming real or not. Such a move would be an end to any business you just need to worry about the government being the violator. LOL

Foresure 4strokes have their place

But so do 2 strokes( shallow water jets )

Let the consumer decide,,, not the government

Bc is correct. Who can argue that our air and water are not cleaner now than in the 70s. Things went off the rails when the air and water were cleaned up to standards that were set by CONGRESS and new standards were set by AGENCY RULES.

I live near Cleveland, Ohio. In the early 80s the EPA mandated that vehicles in the area be tested each year to test for emissions. At that time the EPA said that testing would remain in place until air particulates dropped to a certain level. Several years later that level was reached. Instead of discontinuing this onerous program, they decided that their original goal didn’t lower particulates enough and set a new, lower, standard. Once that level was met, they just did away with the goal and maintain the testing to this day, albeit on a bi-annual basis.

I believe most Government programs start off with good intentions, but quickly digress into a bureaucratic mess with programs trying to justify their existence.

No doubt. I can jerk any water sport person from the water in no time and rip to my fave fishing spot at 50 mph which is plenty fast enough, and I can actually hear the people I am talking to in the boat while doing it too.

Those Kei trucks are street legal here with scooter plates ten years ago they were more popular then today I heard good things about them but the craze died out.

Toyota keeps saying the Stout is coming out, this year supposedly but we have been told things like that before now maybe it will happen.

I don’t see anything concrete of what this all details are but you can be sure the ones knowing the least will have the most to say and the extremes will be put out there.

Just checked on the 2026 Stout predictions it started at $19,000 they said last year now it runs up to 30-40 thousand for one so no real cheaper truck then.

Yall are comparing old 2 strokes to new 4 strokes.thats not a good comparison.look at the evenrude E techs before they stopped making them.the technology is there to be MORE fuel efficient end just as quet as a 4 stroke with alot better power to weight ratio.if regulations are laxed and 2 stroke outboards are become available again, hopefully the 4 stroke fad that helped to end them, will be over
