what are you using for a face cut ?

I see a wedge of wood in the picture but it looks mighty small for what should have been on that tree

That is a lightening struck tree that Woodpeckers have been ravaging. The side with the face cut is pretty weak. I actually made 2 face cuts because it kept pinching the saw. I think I’m gonna let nature finish this one.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

a tree that would be best done with dynamite , shame they made it so hard to procure.

my grandpa talked about how my great grandpa was an artist with the dynamite blowing stumps and clearing fields , my great grandpa retired from farming about the time I was born.

it's hard when they are so far gone you don't have any holding wood

Yes it is, the one I took down the other day and got hung up was about the same. Half the tree fell off when it hit the ground but if they are big enough, it’s worth getting the good.

You sure picked a good wood lot to work in. Be careful out there. You mite be better off girdling the trees you plan to cut next year then you won't be playing with that dead stuff. It's just not worth it.
