The thread about Dieing Art/Crafts got me thinking. Especially the orginal part about old hay balers..
It's been many years since I have been close enough to one of the older balers to hear it run. Thing is it is one of the sound from my youth, I can hear in my mind. The old balers I worked around. They had a rhythm to them when they were running just right. The hay was right and the speed was right. So many rounds with the plunger. Then the needle moving up and knotters going.

So that sound and the rhythm of it has long been in my head. Think about it I can hear it now.

Another although I never milked cows. I was around them enough so I can hear that milker rhythm. Not talking about the drone of the vacuum pump that was common if outside. But the almost soothing swish sound of the milkers them selves.

It's funny. A few minutes ago I couldn't remember if I fed my dog this morning.

Yet I can easily recall the rhythmic sound of my track shoes when in high school. They made certian crunching sound on old cinder track. I listened to that crunch to get my pace right.

Man I got a whole list if I wanted to keep going.

Anyone else have sound with a specific rhythm you can easily recall.
