Years ago remember thinking I was more optimistic about Iran's future than Iraq and the other messed up countries over there. The Iraqies can't stop killing each other long enough to form a civilized functioning government. I read articles about how young the Iranians were, and how unsupportive of their government they were, how they wanted a respectible modern country. It made me think, maybe there's more hope for Iran the others. This was years ago, before there was any credible thought the US might intervene in Iran.

So I guess now we'll find out.
