I hope they are better then the SR40. I have one and hated it ever since I bought it.

I cant give glocks a fair shake havent shot one enough, but they always feel weird in my hand.. but down own a Kimber micro 9 that goes with me everywhere I love it. Only thing is kind of picky on the ammo it wants to eat.

I hope so too! It's mainly for my husband's giant paws. Lol

1911's are a piece of art, but not all that practicle. Comparing a Glock to a 1911 is like comparing a 1960's Corvette to a 1985 Toyota 4x4.

Don't have a glock but for what I want a pistol for i dont see any advantages to a 1911.

That's why I always wear a trench coat with AK 47 pistol under it, prepped for anything

1911 is great nostalgia but if I was carrying a full size gun it would probably be a cz sp01 20 shots of nine instead of 7 in 45. But usually cary a little 380 cuz its comfortable.

Never underestimate the grand mamms…just like a fat girl, they’re fun to ride until your friends find out.

The reason why I carry a 1911 .45 acp is "that they don't make a .46".

I own both, but for me the answer is neither.
I used to denigrate the Tupperware guns until I actually tried one.
I'm sold on the S&W M&P line at least for concealed carry.
Bodyguard2.0 for a summer gun and Shield+ when I wear heavier clothes.

I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. O Lord please don't let me be misunderstood.

1911 any day of the week and twice on Sunday. My Grampa taught to shoot with one with a .22 ace conversion kit. I've been called an old man in a young body since I was 16... 39 now, so about to be just an old man in a few years.

Grandpa said he through his 1911 into the mud and carried a Walther P38 the first chance he got over there. He said it jammed too much.

Maybe but in the initial testing on the 1911 one went 6000 rounds without a single failure to win the contract.

Honestly how many people will even shoot 6000 rounds out of the same pistol in their lifetime. And the gun would run many more times that thats when they stoped the test.

It is impressive seeing the over 100,000 round + test on glocks back in the 90s. And I sure wouldn't like it if my nice 1911 was scraping on the concrete floor when working on a vehicle where as my clock I dont mind as much.

I see my glock as a tool but the 1911s as functional art.

I have most certainly ran 6,000 rounds through multiple pistols in my lifetime, that is only 6 cases grin

I'd rather have a 1911 for 911
