Spring is finally here, and with it comes the waterfowl. Had a good couple hrs on the lake this morning watching the migration filter in before the fog settled onto the lake.
Hopefully this is only the beginning.
Hope you enjoy.

First bird that landed in the decoys this morning before the sun was up. Absolute Stud with poor lighting.

As always, amazing photos.
For those of us who don't know duck, what kind are they?

I've commented on your pics before. They are GREAT.

I've also commented that if someone had a bird mounted in many of the real-life actions, folks would claim that it was a crappy mount grin

Beautiful pictures as always!!! And all that open water there already is great.

Lovely shots. Yes I can tell how brilliant that last one in poor light would be. Still a good photo of him.

Thank you, Wilson Jr.

Tray, those are all great photos; thanks as always for sharing them. I agree with Ms. Sharon…that cinnamon teal is still brilliant.

Super nice pictures. For my 2 cents worth, I think a spring time male Wood duck is the most colorful there is out there. Sort of funny but that lone female Pintail is sure out numbered.

How often do you see Cinnamon teal in SD? I have never seen one in ND.

They are not very common, I see one every other year or so. Don’t think I’ve ever seen more than 1 in a year. They are a little more common on western side of state but not numerous.
I’ve photographed a few over the years and also a blue-wing x cinnamon hybrid.

That cinnamon is a dandy. One of the few ducks we don't have in this flyway
