I cut it in 3 pieces , put in a pot with a head of garlic ,an onion ,some Mexican oregano ,salt , one hot dried pepper and fill with water to cover
simmer about 2 hours test with a fork , if the fork slides in with little resistance pull your meat out and make a shallow cut while still hot and peel the skin off
then I cube the meat after skinned and return to the broth
that broth is terrific you can so have tongue tacos with the meat or serve the broth over noodles like a soup , both are great
you can pick the direction you want to go with your final seasoning can sort of go Asian like a pho or ramen or tacos or some other direction
the broth is very rich
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Give you sum ressapees to pick from. Im sure it would but my confidence in geting trustworthy information here far exceeds Google. Google will give info but a computer I dont trust to know if its good using that method. When fls say this is good and how thy prefer to prepare something. Im taking their word for it.

Moose nose tastes very similar to the tongue, but you have to boil the snot out of it.
Kidneys are similar. You need to boil the pizz out of em.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Lots of Mexican recipes use tongue. Prepare as Tatiana said, cube it small and make it into just about anything. Its delicious.

I have boiled them peeled outer skin sliced into small pieces, then pickled it like a deer heart. Shot a moose in Maine in 2015 , prepared the tongue that way. Goes great with crackers and your favorite beer.

Wash, boil whole until it's tender with salt, bay leaf and a bit of whole black pepper. When it's cooked, peel the skin and optionally remove the gooey tissue on the underside. It's perfect chilled and sliced, on sandwiches or just as is. Goes well with cream hoseradish or mustard. Simmer, not boil! Lot's-o-garlic. YUM!
