Have a young orchard of just 100 trees in their second year. Looking pretty good but about two weeks early for bloom. Hope we don't get a frost.

Rabbiteye blueberries in the background.

Trapping season over so I'm a farmer again and needing to catch up on farm stuff like pruning!

How many peaches are you planning to let a tree that size bear? Happy trapping! ScottW

My peach trees barely have swollen buds on them! Planted last spring.

I don't know Scott. We try to thin to about 6-8" of limb per peach. But on bearing year one last year (fall planted trees in 2023) we got as many as 80 peaches per tree.

I noticed today the buds on my apricot are starting to swell. I also saw that the dead nettle is flowering and that the invasive honeysuckle is starting to leaf out. I'm going to have to mow soon.
