My brother in law was stuck at the bridge Wed trying to come down for a hockey tournament for his kid. Waited 12 hrs to cross. Due to ice falling off the towers and cables.

Now theyre stuck trying to go home on the south side. Full blown blizzard. Highways closed, bridge closed, sounds like its now gonna let up till Tue.

Poor deer are in for a rough one too.

When I ran my beaver float line yesterday in Midland Co, I could hear generators running at every stop.

Here in Iowa interstate 35 is closed from Ames north.

yall hang in there and check on your neighbors, I know about hurricanes but not with the snow in them. Just know you are in our prayers.

Wife just checked when she fed the horses, we picked up 30 inches so far today and it looks like we have another 25 hours of snow before it lets up. Plows haven't been through yet and every business is closed so even if we could get out of the driveway, there is no where to go. lol

Yep,we're getting it good.Drifts 4'-5' in the yard,let the dogs out to do their business and they disappear in the drifts.Wind is causing a lot of problems power is out just south of us.We filled the wood rack and an otter sled with stove wood thinking that would be plenty now your eyeing it wondering if its going to be enough,I told the wife now we have to find the wood pile!Haven't heard a snow plow yet.On the plus side we're eating good,the wife baked an apple pie,blue berry muffins,were not going to lose any weight!I can't remember the last time I saw a storm like this.

ya this a dandy for sure and going until tuesday they say.i made one mistake i took my snowshoes off at the barn and did not bring them to the house. had to shovel and wallow back there in 4 feet and 6 feet drifts gottem now so the battle begins shoveling out. and it could be worse ,still have power. this the st patricks day storm for sure .you all take care.

make babies by all means, we need more babies of trappers. but in all seriousness, yall know what to do, i would not. be smart and safe, use this down time for family time.

Were all good here, plows came through and we got the driveway cleaned out as well as a trail to the hay and animals. Still blowing hard so there will be a little more drifting to deal with but for the most part we are back to normal. Pulled 2 neighbors out who were stuck trying to get out of their driveways and the girls are talking about taking a ride into town.

Brother in law made it halfway across the UP before he decided to cut his losses and head to his buddies as US2 was getting impassable.

Made it just onto his buddies road and there his SUV sits in 3' snow in the road. Him, wife and kids walked to his buddies house. He's gonna borrow the neighbors tractor to dig it out and let the roads clear.

Numbskull shoulda stayed in the hotel he was at till they got the roads cleared.

Parts of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan continue to get hammered with snow after a blizzard overnight dumped up to 30 inches of snow. Robin Sykes shared this picture that was taken in Negaunee in Marquette County.

Spent most of yesterday cleaning out the driveway county roads aren't plowed yet no place i've gotta be anyway Power is on so im happy

Dang! I feel like a softy...we only got a few inches of snow but the wind was blowing hard all day...white out conditions and some closed roads.

Good luck, you guys! Yesterday, Zim and I only got some ice and a foot of snow in south central Wisconsin, and blizzard conditions I guess. We're situated in the woods where we're largely blocked from north and west wind.

It gave us comfort to know that if we lose power, we have a brand new generator...in a box in the shed at our electrician's place!!!!

It's -4 degrees here now, sunny and beautiful. We're warm, the chickens are warm, and we'll say a prayer for all of our neighbors up north and across "the pond."
