birds will actually move stuff if it is small. like doll heads.
my son went out dove hunting opening day at the farm and he forgot one of his Decoys in a tree , I found it Saturday about 400 yards south of where he had left it in a fence row, with a hole picked in the side of the decoy
that bird must have been peved when it realized it was fake food.

One was a science class the other a 9th b day boy. Had plans on sending it back to them and explain how it was found inside my and what killed one of my goats And threaten legal action.. I figured it would get the word out this practice is a bad idea. But I think they eventually got thrown away. No it didnt kill a goat I found one low in a tree the other in a pasture.

I found a stash several years ago, buried in a 10 gallon bucket. Only part of the lid was exposed. By the date on some of the items, which expired in the mid 80’s, it had been stashed for about 30 years. Among the items were Strike Anywhere matches and a full box of Russian AK47 ammo.

Found a $10 bill while turkey hunting, just laying in the path. Found a dead man, face blown off and a bullet hole just behind his right ear. Law said it was a hair trigger, and he went under a limb that hit the trigger. Ever carry a rifle on a sling over your shoulder, and the barrel end was behind your ear? A lot of strange unexplained deaths in our county over the years .

A golf ball twice, different places, a long ways from any golf course. Walking up a gated road I picked up several rounds of 300 ultra mag ammo spaced 50 to 100 feet apart. Several coats and shirts over the years.

I've found a couple marital aids. I presume 160user forgot them out there. I didn't "forget" them there, I hid them. And I want them back. I am still making payment on the Billy Bob 2000.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Kinda weird a guess, found a dead head few years back. Turned out to be a deer a famous pop country singer shot with a local outfitter and never could find it.

Found a large garbage bag of dried weed way back in on an old bush trail when hunting in september one year. Took me and a buddy several months to smoke it all.

I found pot growing inside chicken wire cages a couple times. Not me, but a downstate fellow was trout fishing back in a local remote swamp a few years back and he ran into a commercial sized grow operation.....had camo netting strung over it, and a well equipped tent camp with enough supplies to have been set up by several men. They had an elaborate kitchen tent that had strings of dried chili peppers hanging up. It was believed to be a cartel operation. The police used helicopters to go in and take care of stuff. Considering this ain't Humboldt County, California I was always surprised at the amount of weed grown back in the day. Had an old buddy that was on a multi-agency drug task force team that would fly in choppers several times a summer/fall to search for pot growing in corn fields, woods, etc. I asked him how often they found it and he said literally every flight they made found some.

Many years ago, my buddy and I were squirrel hunting in the Allegan State Forest. We came upon a cardboard box that had a litter of dead puppies in it. Really sad, don't know how people can do that.

Those who've mentioned finding the deceased ...the public areas just North of Lawton, OK.,( The. Shady 580) I like to hunt and fish, I anticipate coming across a body. Every time. Between the criminal activity and prevalent drug use, I'm surprised I haven't by now.

At a very old logging camp location I found a file in great shape. I sent it to a past member here who builds things in the old ways. I wondered at the guy who stood over saw blades all day long using it to sharpen the next days whip saws.
A shot behind the ear was mentioned. I recall a longtime ago walking behind a friend, heading into the timber for an afternoon deer hunt. He stepped over a tree in front of me, rifle slung over his shoulder, when the brush caught his rifle shoulder stock and drug it back so the barrel end hit him in the back of the head. It didn’t go off and didn’t hit him hard but sure showed me a fast lesson.

I could go on for hours on what my brother and I found as kids while trapping. I found 3 shotguns in the Hackensack river. They were muddy, but cleaned up and worked fine. Found plenty of party areas in the woods. we would take the unopen bottles. Lots of sex toys and clothes. Found a dead body in the patch of woods in Teaneck on the way to school. the snow plow had pushed him up and into the wood area. Apparently someone dumped him off along the highway. Found a blood trail in the woods next to my Jr HS, found out a lady was raped and the guy cut her throat. She made it to a hose at the edge of the swamp, but did not survive. Found jewelry and money form people being robbed and the person tossing what they didn't want into the woods. Homeless camps, in the swamps, as well as items tossed out of cars. Once found about 30 nickel bags or pot under a bridge. I am guessing they were getting pulled over and tossed everything out of the window of the car. Wow. This world is so full of evil.

About 5 or 6 years ago Muskrat and I were deer hunting in the river bottoms (WI River) and we came across a "sex toy" about half exposed in a pile of debris commonly left as floodwaters recede. Maybe it has moved along downriver to you fellows in Iowa, Illinois or ? If I remember right . . . the initials GCP were markered on the side. Hmmmm . . .
