I’ve never owned an AR, honestly never really had any interest in them. But I’ve been thinking I should probably have one for a rainy day. Found a new DPMS oracle for $375 what’s everyone’s thoughts on them? I know they are low end entry level.

They work thats a good price. I bought one years ago for 650 out the door and thet was 100 less than other shops were selling them for at the time. I bought it becuse it was a good price. 3 months later a panic hit and I sold it unfired for 1,250. Took the proffit and bought a 9mm pistol suppressor.

I dont believe you can go wrong at that price.

you can buy a working AR cheap currently , it all has to do with what you want for features.

they were a very base model AR and many of them tried to be more state compliant with no threaded muzzle and selling with a 10 round mag
they lacked a free floated hand guard.

if anyone is asking me about a complete rifle ready to roll on a reasonable budget my answer today is the Ruger Harrier Magpul 16.1" 5.56 Nato 30rd Rifle, Black - 28600

the things you want , ruger support if anything were to be wrong out of the box.

mount a LPVO and rock and roll.

375 is fair on the Oracle , that is what a basic PSA can be built for these days.

Dams is a solid but old company. Do t really hear too much from them j
In the current day . They're solid ,they work , no real frills, end story. Honestly $375 for a new AR is a great price . I'd get it in a heart beat

I’ve got an Oracle that has payed for itself 50 times over.

DPMS built some nice rifles.

It’s a shame what “the freedom group” did to them, it was criminal.

it is a little more for a PSA build
but once your dropping 375 what is a few more to start adding the features you want like I said it's all about the features.

I have a DPMS oracle or sportical, can remember but it was cheap and it works great but I added a drop in trigger and a different compensator to it. Killed some coyotes with it. They thought it worked a little too well.

I bought three for the Grandkids to shoot gophers with a couple weeks ago. Side charging and fluted barrels for $1070 shipped. That's a $356 average. BCA
