I laughed the first time I saw the set. The usda using it on educated beaver.

I like and understand his thinking but I love snaring beaver for a reason and that is everything about why I prefer snares, lol.

But I do have a few sites where that would work quite well. One that I'm thinking is a short section of drainage between two large ponds I don't have access to.
