That probably works but setting up those panels looks like a lot of work! What about the educated ones?

I like and understand his thinking but I love snaring beaver for a reason and that is everything about why I prefer snares, lol.

But I do have a few sites where that would work quite well. One that I'm thinking is a short section of drainage between two large ponds I don't have access to.

I also noticed that all sets were right on the road next to the truck.

I got a beaver cage trap, do i use it at EVERY site? No. I haven't used the panels, im lazy so i invent lazy way's to deal with them, lol. But if it works for you more power to you. As the cage trap, it's just another tool to keep in your tool box should the occasion present itself. It WOULDN'T be my first choice for trap shy beaver though, lol. God bless them USDA trappers!

I can think of several places this system would work but it would definitely be a close to the truck system for me.

You need to have lots of tools in the shed doing nuisance beaver work.
Not many fur trappers are going to go to that much work.
The nuisance game is a different game…………
I guarantee that’s not Mr. Dunnier’s only method.
Agreed that it would work best on unpressured beaver, but I always prefer to trap unpressured beaver lol.

That is a very well put together video......clear footage, clear audio, excellent descriptions & narration.

All trapping videos should be as well done....but they are NOT.

But I have used that orange plastic snow fence to block off the creek. 2 T posts and a few zip ties and you're done.
I just didn't run the fence all the way to the bank. And placed a 330 in that void.

I used the fence panels on otter in a moving stream about 6’ wide. Water was about knee deep. Worked very well caught 4 otters in 2 weeks.
