I was raised to never raise a hand to a woman ever, for any reason.

As a result, in my first marriage, I was abused by all of today's definitions, to include fending off kitchen knives on multiple occasions.

However, that is beside the point.

My question, in this day of radical feminism where women are freely aggressing in the public space are the gloves off? Should we as men be free to beat the brakes off of any female not being ladylike and actively attacking?

I know what my decision is and I can live with it.

And by beating the brakes off I mean full on put the stop to it and not just holding back defensive measure only.

I guess it depends...especially with women witnesses....or any witnesses.....and I guess the level of violence you use....but sure, as long as it's her fault starting it and you need to protect yourself....

My rule on hitting women is that if she comes after me with something harmful to body, like the knife you mentioned, she just grew a sack and I'll do my best to knock her out.

Agreed, would take a lot to me to strike out. I don't think I would hit but definitely grab hold and not let go until they calm down.

Plus remember that unlike you men, we don't fight socially, i.e. to sort things out, to show someone they are wrong, or to establish dominance, etc. You generally know when to stop, and how much damage your moves may inflict. We don't, we just see red and go for it. This makes us much more dangerous when we attack in social situations, especially with a weapon, even though we are physically weaker. Excessive force is justified.

A Chuck Norris style spin kick to the head is also effective.

Crocodile Dundee had a method I once saw in a movie that he employed to help him determine such things to some degree when in doubt.

Had a girl sucker punch me once. Never seen it coming, out of complete reaction I hit her in the shoulder fairly hard. Instantly felt terrible. It was out of reaction and total relax that I hit her and if id had even a half second to think about it id never of done it. Still feel bad about it even though I know she was definitely trying to hurt me. Only time id make the choice to hit a woman is if someone was in bodily danger and that was the only way to stop without putting myself or someone else in real danger. Had my x attack me a few times never felt the urge to hit her

I had a distraught, suicidal woman try to knife me once. I kicked out her right knee as she charged me.

I had another woman rush me with a club, I kicked her right knee out too.

I had a woman spit in my face and then try to scratch it, I hit her once in the sternum and dropped her. She's the only woman I've actually hit.

The weirdest altercation I've been in, with two women involved, was at a movie theater, that was in a chain we had an account with. They had been having a lot of problems. My company was averaging 6 arrests there a weekend. Myself, my partner Chip, 2 guards of mine and a local police officer, who worked for me part time, were all there doing security.

There was a beat up gray dodge in the parking lot, with all 4 tires flat, the driver's side door lock punched, the truck lock punched and the lights on. I noticed it and figured somebody stole it to get to the theater, to steal something better.

I had 1 guard watching the parking lot from the roof. I had the other guard checking theaters. My partner was also checking theaters and I was out front. My police officer was in the office.

A shoving match started up with a white teenager, who ticked off his girlfriend and 6 black teenagers, who were as a favor to her, going to beat him up. I broke up the fight and the white teenager sprinted off, presumably home. I questioned the 6 black teenagers and girlfriend. I had them stand there for a while, to give him a longer head start. I called the police officer on a radio and sent him after the white teenager, in his cruiser, to make sure he got home.

Then the owner of the car, who was a very pregnant, very irate hillbilly women came in and asked me to do a police report. I told her I had an officer, who would be right back and he would give her a report for her insurance.

The officer came into the lobby and was reporting to me, when the very irate, very pregnant hillbilly woman came storming in the door and started yelling about how her husband was going to kill her boyfriend, if she wasn't home in twenty minutes. My officer stopped her and said "Ma'am where are you from?" She yelled " Trotwood.". He said "Ma'am this is Huber Heights. I don't give a (censored) who gets killed in Trotwood. I'm going to report to my boss here. You're going to wait patiently outside and I'll be out to talk to you when I'm done and ready.

The woman spouted some foulness and went outside.

She then immediately turned, opened the door and came running back in screaming and cussing. My officer went towards her. She had an around 20 year old man and 20 year old woman with her. My police officer and the hillbilly woman collided, he pushed her into the crash bar and out the door. I ran up watching the man, who was approaching too. My partner did as well. The younger woman was in front of us, going through the door. My partner put a hand on her left shoulder and she instantly spun and punched him hard in the face. I got her up on her toes, in a hammer lock against the glass block wall. The whole time keeping my eyes on the man and the fight outside.

The man looked at me, made the safe motion for baseball, like he was an umpire and walked off never to be seen again that night.

Meanwhile, outside. The police officer and woman hit a column outside the front doors hard and fell to the ground, separating. The hillbilly woman pulled up her shirt, her boobs flopped out and she yelled "I'm 8 months pregnant, God (censored) you. Look!" Right then, my officer tackled her hard, knocking her over backwards, with his head between her breasts. He landed on top of her basically being smothered between her huge breasts.

That's still the weirdest fight I've seen, out of a few hundred.

We sent both the mother and daughter to jail.

I have never hit a woman(my dad and grandpa would return from the dead to kick my behind), that being said I would if I truly thought I or someone else was in danger of serious injury.

I've been married near about 40 years to a redhead.
It has been the 7 best years if my life.
Once they get all of the babies out of you that they want, it all starts going downhill.
Then there was the 14 years of menopause. Even though that ,marital bliss era has long passed, I'm pretty sure that she is still convinced that I caused that to happen to her.
I still haven't had to man handle her is any way, and I do not condone such measures, but that doesn't mean that I don't understand how someone would find themselves in that predicament,

Dad busted my arse more times than I can count for hitting my sisters growing up. I have been slapped, punched, kicked, cussed, and spit on by ex's. Fortunately, I never did punch one. I wanted to, but didn't.
