k snow OP trapper Joined: Oct 2009 east central WI	My season here in WI opened today. Beautiful weather. Heard a half dozen toms on the roost. Had one tom hung up all day long. Every 15 to minutes he'd come within 100 yards, gobble and strut for 15 minutes, then walk off. Eventually a hen in my decoys finally lured him in, at 1 in the afternoon. 7 hours on one bird. Nine and a half inch beard, 7/8 spurs (very pointy) and 26 pounds. "in the midst of a savage wilderness to depend entirely upon their unassisted strength and hardihood"
