I am sure many of you have heard and probably done this with your wild turkey breast. But wanted to share this anyhow. I was told by a friend the only way he eats wild turkey breast is to grind one breast with a pound of thick cut bacon and make burgers out of it. So I tried it last night and dang they were really good. Highly recommend if your looking for a change of pace. Of course bacon helps everything.

Cut breast into cubes and marinate in half ranch dressing and half dill pickle juice overnight. Then bread and fry.

OR the breast get slow smoked until 150 degrees and then sliced thin. I know poultry is supposed to hit 165, but it’s dry at that point. Been smoking them for 15 years at that temp and have never had an issue. Store bought birds go to the 165.

I will try your burger recipe.

I'd have a hard time convincing myself to grind one up, but it does sound pretty interesting. I might have to try it with a domestic bird. Thank you for the idea.

I thought the same thing but it was good. My wife makes a great pasta out of the breast also.

I like to pour it on a couple ice cubes and then just sip it time to time

We generally cube the breast and fry it, then add choice of sauce. This years bird I made kabobs. Legs get turned into soup or pot pie

This is what I did with one half a turkey breast this year. Was great. Hammer it out pretty thin - like 1/4 - 1/3”. It will contract back some when cooking
