Around the valley I live in most crops seem to be grown for seed. Seen big fields of clover today.

Most bags of crimson I've purchased were grown in Oregon.

Snowy , I’m not sure I have heard of that before. We have big fields of Meadowfoam in bloom now. That’s big white fields, also lots of mustard seed, we are also the grass seed capital of the world.

I got to sample some honey that came off of meadow foam fields. Being from SE Oklahoma, I had never heard of it but it is the best tasting honey I’ve ever tried.

For some reason Oregon makes some good grass.
Christmas valley hay is or “was” highly desirable.

We would drive down every fall to silver falls seed to purchase cover crop in the “old” days.

I never herd it called crimson clover before. Had about a 6 acre field in giant red clover. Mowed it down once the heads turned brown. That would make it reseed it's self. The deer would really tear into it in the winter time.

Planted a few bags of crimson this year in my hay field and another in a food plot with rye. Deer loved it and now with the rye about 3' tall the crimson is around 2'. Ever dry long enough, I would mow it for hay and see if the crimson comes back. Plan on incorporating more crimson for forage in my pastures as well to see how it does.

Crimson clover seed is cheaper than most of the others, too.

Grows well in acidic soils and will tolerate some shade.

We've had a beekeeper placing 32 hives every year for our blueberries free off charge because right after blueberries vast amounts of himalayan blackberries were blooming for his bees. But this year he informed us that he had some big meadowfoam contracts and we were SOL for bees. I ended up begging and finally he got us 24 hives @$60 each for our pollination needs.
Meadowfoam honey is becoming very popular. Almost everybody that tries it loves it. Kind of a minty flavor.

Yep, and very good cattle hay. Can graze it and doesn't bloat the the livestock like alfalfa. I have some I mixed in with alfalfa and is a great hay.
