most taken for granted , by people who don't know what they are

all those blocks of wood cut to the perfect size to do whatever it was you needed , like removing the mower blade.

Leatherman, I think I've got more now than I've lost or broken.

Get some at work for safety awards, and gifts from family.

Found one today at estate garbage sale, for $3.00

Let me sugar coat this

a torque wrench . really helps to torque things the way they should be.

my cordless Milwaukee right angle gen 2 die grinder has been extremely helpful in cleaning up parts and corrosion on parts that would have taken a LOT longer just trying to get clean with out it.

need a clean surface to get a good seal.

I find dykes very useful. The diagonal cutting pliers, not Rosie O'Donnell type lesbians.

My Honda Foreman and an air compressor.

Wife told me to put on clean socks every day. I tried, but after 7 days, I could hardly get my shoes on.

Good quality slip joint pliers are a tool I still use daily. I love my Leatherman and it gets used more than my slip joints but there are many times I'll grab the pliers on the bench over my Leatherman. Especially when I need a better bite than I can get with the Leatherman needle nose. And I found over four Leathermans, two lost and one broken, that the wire cutters have limits and can be damaged somewhat easily. I have an old, American made, slip joint that will cut anything that I can fit in the cutting slot. Prior to Leatherman, it rode on my hip every day.

And it got even better when I upgraded to gas shielded wire feed welding. I try to keep plenty of wire on hand so I don't have to ever use whats left of a roll of shielded wire. And I have a small back up bottle of argon/CO2 to get me by if my big tank runs out. I'm 40 miles from the nearest refill on argon/CO2 so running out can be a major inconvenience. Especially when I'm just an hour from finishing a project.

A Bandana, much bigger and useful for other things.
