Never had an issue using my cell phone on their page. The badger numbers are just estimates until the real number is known, don't know where you came up with 400 when all I have seen is the 150.

FHA was always been behind NAFA on technology. That does not speed the process up.

Agreed that the NAFA system was a pleasure to use. But I have often wondered the reason for posting valuations for buyers and sellers to see before the sale. Seems counterproductive to a competative bidding process.

FHA will never be like NAFA because FHA is owned and run by trappers-and that is a good thing.
The Board of directors will not allow them to waste money on trivial BS cause some techie whiner doesnt want to be inconvenienced.

Providing valuations for buyers helps the buyer because it saves them time and helps guide them towards good they can ahold.

As a buyer if I’m looking for red fox at $20.00 or less and the valuations are $30.00 or higher, there is no point in me looking at those goods because the chances of them selling at my price point are very slim. This is a made up example with made up numbers.

As for sellers - valuations give them one more thing to whine about. And if/when goods sell for above valuation, they are super happy.

Valuations.....pffft.... If the fur market was nice, smooth and predictable that'd be great.
The value is set when the hammer drops. Shippers & sellers woulda flipped their lids at the skunk market last spring. Some of the "valuations" haven't held true for years regarding some species, male/female.
Most of us already know a ball park figure what our check will be.....barring any surprises.....good or bad.

Sounds like you have a crystal ball and know everything ahead of time, why didn't you have 1,000 marten on the march sale is you knew the value ahead of time? Nancy is spot on about the valuations and if I am buying something for another person and they give a price range and its under the valuation there is no reason for me to waste my time...
