I ordered ten 30 ounce jars of grape jelly to use in my oriole feeders. I got a e-mail saying it was out for delivery. I went and checked last night after seeing it said it was delivered. No jelly delivered to me. It may have been delivered but where? I called this morning at 0830 and got a answering machine. I left a message and did not get a call back. I delivered two pieces of mail that were in my box last week two and a half miles SW to the owner. I cringe anytime something is shipped USPS.

I also cringe when the only option is USPS. Some vendors have started to take notice of their terrible track record and at least one I deal with has an “Anything But Postal” shipping option.
Eh...wot?

Since it had a tracking number the post office will be able to tell exactly where it was delivered. Whenever it is scanned delivered by the mail carrier their scanner records the gps location where the item was scanned delivered. An in person talk with the postmaster should help get to the bottom of the issue.

I was hoping they would call back, so I didn't have to drive into town. Since the started sorting the mail in Bismarck, the entire thing has been on a down hill slide. They bundle my mail with a rubber band in Bismarck and the carrier does not look at any thing but the top one. Some days I have more then one other persons mail. I have even got mail for other towns. Talk about a waste of tax dollars. I will drive in today and see what they say.

USPS is a giant waste of tax dollars. Poor performance has no repercussions within the bureaucracies unfortunately. I can order something from Wisconsin and have it here the very next day without “expediting via SpeeDee delivery. I use only private delivery carriers for all business products as I no longer can rely on the Post Office. If I mail a letter to the next town over, it will be at least 4 business days. That is a best case scenario, several times it never did find its way. LOL

Seems it's the USPS is getting worse, delivery person stops when he feels like it or when he feels there is enough mail to stop for. I have that informed delivery that lets you know whats coming that day, most times I will get todays mail two to four days later, called the post master, he said you can not go by the informed delivery info. who to believe.

My order got here today. Fed X. I can not figure out how it can say it was delivered the 26th at 02:10 PM by USPS, then show up Fed X on the morning of the 28th. I am just glad it came and that I was slow to drive to town to go to the post office.

Had to track this thread down to share my current complaint. I spent $12.65 to send a check to my lawyer on Nov. 9. This was needed for a real estate closing on my late parents' home so it was time sensitive. Anyway, I finally had an update on the 17th that it had arrived at the distribution center in Minneapolis on the 16th. Mind you, it was supposed to reach the destination on the 12th. Anyway, it still says it is in transit to destination this morning and it's not getting delivered today, which was the absolute latest arrival time to seal the deal. Fortunately, I was able to contact my bank that holds the estate checking account and is in the town my lawyer is and they issued a cashiers check yesterday to save the deal. Any bets on when the check I originally sent will arrive at my lawyer's office (in Nebraska)?

Shipping boxed hooped beaver to the Speedee area is ALWAYS via Speedee Delivery. All other destinations are via UPS ground processed through Pirateship.com. Never via USPS.
