I tend to throw up every time I take pepto and the Tylenol is what the doc said to guess 16 years of eating Copenhagen and a lot of stress finally ran it’s course …. I think I had them in my early thirties… I ran a rowdy night shift crew…ate one meal a day …gut the snuff … drink beer till daylight… got to where I’d have a deep pain in my stomach after I ate and puke some dark blood every now and then … started drinking milk of magnesia or something like that for a month or two … it just went away and haven’t dealt with it since
Insert profound nonsense here

Smash I got prescribed it but it was 58$ a bottle I got the other prescription pantoprazole. A lot of times I wake up doubled over is the sucralfate worth it That’s absurd. I am in charge of ordering and inventory at the clinic and I can purchase a bottle of 500 for $60.

Get the gastroscopy ASAP, this way you will know for sure plus it might show other issues. Ulcers are very treatable nowadays thanks to proton pump blockers and antibiotics targeting Helicobacter pylori, the bacterium responsible for the majority of ulcers.
So many men die for no good reason, it's outrageous. My grandfather died at 57 from stomach cancer that developed from untreated chronic ulcers (that were provoked and exacerbated by chronic stress from an unkind nagging wife). My dad almost died from a GI bleed from a perforated ulcer, and gastroscopy showed that he had lived through another ulcer that healed spontaneously. He survived but it took away quite a bit of his health.
When you're past gastritis and at the ulcer stage, relying on diet, lifestyle changes, "naturopathic" crap such as various herbal concoctions, and those nice minty magnesium-aluminum oxide-based antacids that many men consume by the bottle is highly irresponsible wishful thinking/denial. There are good, reliable treatments that can solve the actual issue fast. Meds are cheap. You can change your diet and lifestyle all you want afterwards (my dad changed his diet, lost started doing Yoga, but only after getting help from actual doctors). Chances that it will just go away on its own are VERY low.

I had it done. They welded up the ulcer with a laser. Gave me an antibiotic. Said mine was the result of bacteria. That was 20 years ago. No more problems.

Milk of mag is an antacid, sort of, but is primarily a laxative. Maalox, mylanta(al hydroxide products), and sucralfate, mask the symptoms of overproduction of acid. Pantoprazole, omeprazole and others prevent the production of acid. As stated earlier, get the GI exam if you are having that much pain after a few days of pantoprazole. It might save your life. I lost a good friend who ignored similar symptoms to esophageal cancer . He loved his cigars. Tobacco and snuff are just as bad. Once my blood work comes back I think I’m going to go ahead and get the camera down the throat. Been gutting Copenhagen for about 17-18 years do I’m thinking the camera may be the better option even if it turns out to not be ulcers
